Reducer Housings at a Fertilizer Plant in Argentina are Protected with CHEMCLAD

A fertilizer plant in Argentina has several cooling towers, each tower’s fan is actuated by an electrical motor with a gear speed reducer. There are some very faint ammonia vapors present in the air which causes the reducers’ housings to rust quickly. The plant has to replace the housings every two years because of the corrosion.

The local ENECON Distributor in Argentina was contacted and asked to help provide a solution. After the housings were repaired, they were protected with three coats of CHEMCLAD XC. Problem Solved!
